2012-2013 Wrestling Team

The wrestling program has grown considerably over the past couple of seasons.  Coach Ibanez, with years of experience in Greco-Roman, collegiate and freestyle wrestling demands hard work, self discipline and a commitment to excellence on and off the wrestling mat.

This past season, Waller’s Boys’ Wrestling ascended to new heights - placing in several tournaments and claiming numerous individual top-3 placers. 

At the Varsity District Tournament, Joey Altimore placed 3rd at 103lbs, Max Correa placed 5th at 145lbs, Mike Hulick placed 5th at 160lbs, Chuck Tuck placed 5th at 215lbs and Alfredo Garcia placed 5th at Heavyweight. 

At the Junior Varsity district tournament Josh Farmer placed 4th at 119lbs, Cody Theiss placed 2nd at 135lbs and Emilio Vargas placed 1st at 160lbs. 

In the proximate future, Waller Wrestling purports to qualify multiple grapplers to the regional and state tournaments while developing successful student athletes.
